TECH SY Idea Validation Programme

Earlier this year we ran the TECH SY idea validation programme with a cohort of 8 founders. The results were worth sharing: average satisfaction of 9.57 out of 10, and 100% said they'd recommend it to another founder. Across the cohort, average validation scores moved from 56.6% to 78.6% - a 22 percentage point uplift over the programme.

What founders said mattered most: the tailored support, the challenge to their thinking, and the fact that changes made during the programme led directly to first sales.

CORE OS™ and our Outgrown Workshop

We've also been working with businesses past that first validation stage.

CORE OS™ is our operating system for scaling founders. It's a distillation of our combined careers, including the years we both spent inside Mina Digital Ltd, building and scaling it, and the best of what already exists. EOS and frameworks like it are proven at scale, what they're not is designed for the reality of running a startup. CORE OS™ is our adaptation of that thinking for founders at the 5–50 person stage, built around four things that determine whether a growing business scales or breaks: Clarity, Operating Principles, Rhythm, and Evidence.

We've been testing it in the real world. Working with the Venture Community - a Yorkshire-based founder accelerator - we've now taken two cohorts through the full framework. Four of them are implementing it as I write.

It works. So we're opening it up.

On 12 May we're running Outgrown - a free two-hour working session for founders at the scaling inflection point. Capped at 20. At Department, Leeds Dock.
